Ingredients

1/2 pound rigatoni pasta (3 cups dry)
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup milk (2-percent or whole fat)
3/4 cup grated parmigiano reggiano, divided
1 14.5-ounce can stewed tomatoes, coarsely chopped (this is easiest done directly in the can with kitchen shears)
6 ounces baked deli ham (i.e. black forest), coarsely chopped
