1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling or topping
1 loaf (about 1 lb) challah bread, cut in sixteen 1/2-in.-thick slices
2 boxes (2 3/4 or 3 oz each) cook & serve vanilla pudding and pie filling
1 qt (4 cups) whole milk
2 tbsp lemon zest
3/4 cup goldens and cherries (mix of golden raisins and dried cherries from a 6-oz pouch) or 3/4 cup golden raisins
Confectioners' sugar
1 tbsp rum
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 cup melted vanilla ice cream
