More Tax Day Freebies!
April 15 comes but once a year...thank goodness. But some of your favorite brands are seeking to soften the blow of your tax bill, or at least help you drown the pain. The prescription? Free ice cream, cookies, cinnamon buns and fried chicken.
Here's a quick rundown of the best tax day freebies out there:
Cinnabon: Your local Cinnabon's "Tax Day Bites," promotion includes free bite-sized cinnamon rolls from 5 to 8pm today (4/15). Sorry jet-setters, airport locations are exempt. Find your location.
MaggieMoo's: At Maggie's you'll be able to grab a free one-scoop ice cream cone in any of their tasty flavors. If you haven't tried it before, we recommend the terrifyingly colored Cotton Candy. Looks scary. Tastes great. Find your location.
Subway: Certain Subway locations are offering up a free cookie of your choice today. It's a promotion the company's done as a whole in past years. But this year it's up to individual locations as to whether they participate. So call your local store to see if you'll be able to get your free cookie on. Find your location.
Chick-fil-A: Sorry, Chick-fil-A lovers: the offer you've been hearing about on the news isn't quite as reported. Some Chick-fil-A locations are in fact offering special Tax Day promotions, but you'll need to get on the horn and check with your local outlet to find out what's being offered. Fox News and other outlets were reporting a deal that would let folks indulge in a delicious lunch, then return in the next 15 days with their receipt to get that same meal for free. But that's not a deal the company's sponsoring nationally. So check for a location near you then give them a call.

P.F. Chang's: Receive 15 percent off your meal today! Find your location.
T.G.I. Friday's: Depending on the amount you spend at dinner or lunch today, you could score a $5 or $10 gift card to use on future Friday's purchases. Spend $15-$25 and you'll get the $5 card. More than $25 gets you $10. Find your location.
McCormick and Schmick’s: All diners today will walk out with a $10.40 gift card to be used on a return visit. (Get it...1040...) Find your location.
