How do I install the coupon printing software?

Starting April 2014, all Redplum.com powered print coupons requires a fast, easy installation of our NEW, IMPROVED Print@Home coupon printing software.  Read more about it here!

Please note, you will be prompted to install our NEW software even if you have previously installed our software.

Steps-by-step instructions for Windows users below. Mac Users: Click here for a detailed article.

We recommend you install the Print@Home software before attempting to print live coupons.  Please read the entire article so you know what to expect when installing our coupon printing software.

Before you start, make sure you’re using one of these operating systems and browsers:

  • Windows 7, 8/8.1, XP or Vista with Internet Explorer 9–11, Firefox 27 and higher, or Chrome 33 and higher.
    • For security reasons, XP users will need to use Chrome or Firefox; Vista users, please upgrade to IE9, or use Chrome or Firefox.
  • You will need Microsoft's .NET 4.0 Framework to install and run the coupon printing software. To check this, open Control Panel and then open Programs, or Add/Remove Programs. If .NET 4.0 is not installed, or if you have a lower version of .NET (such as 3.5 or 2.0), download and install from Microsoft's website
  • Printing from a mobile device (smartphone, tablet) is not supported.  Please use a standard laptop or desktop.
  • You may be asked for admin access to install the coupon printing software.  Corporate and public environments may not allow installing the coupon printing software. We recommend printing from a home computer.  If you would like to use the coupon printing software on a work or public computer, please see a system administrator.
  • Make sure you have a hardware printer installed and set as the default.  Soft printers such as PDF writers are not supported.

This page features a test coupon.  Click the Print button to start the install process, which can vary depending on the browser you’re using:

Internet Explorer users:  a bar with the file name will appear at the bottom of your screen.  Click the RUN button, and the install will begin automatically.

Chrome users:  You will be presented with the option to save the file, then the saved file will appear in a bar at the bottom of the screen.  Click the file to start the installation process.

Click Run on this message.

Firefox users:  You will be presented with the option to save the file.

Once the file is saved, open the ‘Downloads’ folder (1) and click the file (2) to start the installation process.

Click Run on this message.

The software will now install.  You will observe progress messages during the installation, which will take a few minutes.

After installation, the test coupon prints to your default printer.  Just one more step!

The next time you select and print a coupon, you’ll be presented with a Protocol Acceptance dialog box. This is similar to other software that uses protocol.

Internet Explorer: Step 1, remove the checkmark (this prevents the box from popping up in the future). Step 2, click Allow.

Chrome protocol acceptance box. Step 1, check the box to Remember (this prevents the box from popping up in the future).  Step 2:  click Launch Application.

Firefox protocol acceptance box.  Make sure P@H is selected (Step 1, below), then check the box to Remember (step 2 - this prevents the box from popping up in the future), then click OK.

Congratulations! You can now print our coupons.  Visit RedPlum.com for more savings.
