Kids bored with the same old ham and cheese? Send them back to school with some fresh, healthy and easy school lunch ideas.
Egg sandwich. Eggs aren’t just for breakfast anymore. Stack a fried egg, turkey bacon and light cheese on a whole wheat bagel or English muffin.
Chips & dip. Pack a baggie full of whole wheat or baked tortilla chips with salsa, avocado, sour cream or any kind of dip.
Wrap it up. Anyone can toss a couple of slices of ham and cheese on a wrap and roll. Mix it up with fun, new combinations like peanut butter, banana, bacon and honey?
Panini. There’s so much you can do with Panini. All you need is some bread, cheese and whatever is around. We like asparagus and gruyere.
Perfect parfait. Pair regular old yogurt with containers or granola and cubed fruit and they can make their own yogurt parfait at lunch!
It's easy to make your kids excited about their lunches with just a little bit of change. You'll be feeding them healthier food than what they can get at the school cafe, and you'll be saving money, too.
