The best way to make sure you get what you want is to hit the Web and do plenty of research before you step into the showroom. Not only will you find information on automakers’ sites and various consumer blogs but car dealership’s sites as well.
Beth Delaney, general sales manager at Flemington (N.J.) Car and Truck Country, designed a Web site specifically to answer women customers’ questions. The site has been a hit with both sexes because they can ask questions and get straightforward answers on everything from options to pricing.
“There’s nothing I prefer more than educated customers,” Delaney said.
That attitude is what you should seek in a dealership, said auto experts. If you are uncomfortable at a dealership, walk away.
