Lesson learned – by the parent

Lisa Heath of Rochester, NY thinks the reason her son Ean, 9, never learned to ski is because his first lessons went so poorly.

The classes Ean took advanced him rapidly from small slopes in upstate New York, to increasingly larger ones.

“He just hated it and never wants to go again,” said Heath. “He needed more time to develop himself and become accustomed to larger slopes. The way he learned was just too overwhelming.”

The scenario Lisa Heath and her son experienced is very common.
