Pete's Classic Spread With Ultimate Mac & Cheese

In Massachusetts, RedPlum reader Pete's shindig sticks to the basics, including monster helpings of Ultimate Mac & Cheese, wings and other classic Big Game fare. It's an economical menu, but one that includes room for a splurge in the form of multiple bottles of bubbly. Other than that, it's just about the food and some friendly wagering. Easy Chili
Chicken Wings
Champagne

MAKING THE MAC & CHEESE
Pete's party centers around a recipe by Melissa Harrison from the "Flavors of Valassis" cookbook.

Ingredients:
2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
3/4 lb. (12 oz) Velveeta cheese, cubed
1/3 cup milk
1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions: Cook macaroni as directed on package; drain well. Return to pan. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Cook on low heat until Velveeta cheese is melted, stirring frequently. Makes 4 (1-cup) servings.
